Partners in Crime

Babz, no doubt, made the rounds of the media outlets to flex whatever muscle she had left to keep that stellar, hard-hitting journalistic integrity of hers unblemished.

King made it quite clear, during the interview, that Wawa's his gyrl and ain't nobody gon' tawk sh*t agin an LMC woman, 'specially no nigra!!! Born liars, they are! Liars!

Fabulous..., but let's not get it twisted ...

Tuesday
or Thursday, the "ish" would've HIT-THE-FAN had Mrs. Jones-Reynolds made the same announcement, verbatim, as her Tuesday send-off. Being what the LMCs refer to as " uppity" (defined as a negro/negress who does not curb his/her speech around LMCs to make them feel comfortable and secure in their self-appointed superiority), Star, CLEARLY saw through the jackals' of ABC spinning her situation into a "We're trying to protect you, Star" mode, (I mean really...).
As she stated last night, if she didn't handle it now, with the truth, she would never have got the chance to vindicate herself
fully-- and would be deemed a liar forever. Gawker would've rolled HARD with the REAL story the next day had everything gone according to ABC's plan and Star would've looked a foolywang.

REYNOLDS: ...*What's interesting is, I was told, you want to know exactly what I was told, I was told whatever you want to say, whatever story you want to make up...
KING: Barbara told me the same thing.
REYNOLDS: ... we will back you up.
KING: Barbara said that to me yesterday. (--Can't you hear the setup?--)
REYNOLDS: So you know, I'm telling you the God's honest truth.
KING: Then why didn't you just do that and forget the rest?
REYNOLDS:
You want me to make up a story?
KING: Well, I'm leaving for whatever reason. A lot of people do that. (Word?)
REYNOLDS: And then be accused of being dishonest with the viewers. And knowing what has happened in the last two months, Larry, with every leak, every mean-spirited comment, every tabloid speculation, knowing that that's occurred, do you really expect that within the next two weeks, two months, two years, that someone would not have said, you know, she really was fired, we really didn't renew her contract. See what kind of big liar she is?

A part of America's hatred of Star is her lack of disclosure when it came to her Gastric bypass... King is quite clear that people, make up stories all the time...I would have to add there is a special pass to those in the public eye because of the intense scrutiny they weather..., so why should Star have been required to be upfront about her weight-loss to millions of viewers, who are strangers, nonetheless...Rosie O'Looney acts as if she came out LOUD and PROUD on her former talk show from the very first day...can we say "waited 'til your show was cancelled"...can we say Tom Cruise love...can we say hypocrite...

This Just In...

How we wish we had access to Wendy Williams' little sound machine. Imagine it, clackety clack clack, clackety clack...breaking news...

Anyway. We watched Star on CNN's Larry King Live. We thought it would just be more of the same, "I was fired," said Star, "she betwayed me," said Barbara, mumbo-jumbo. But no. ABC faxed in a point for point memorandum giving their side of the story. Star spoke slowly and deliberately to the points, addressing Rosie "the himbo" O'Donnell, her umm..."medical intervention," the co-stars, and the injustice of it all. For your reading pleasure, we present, "The Highlights." [Insert Wendy's shock and awe sound here].

1) According to ABC, Star's money-grubbing ways had put her out of favor with the American public and the higher ups since last year. She was the cause of their flagging ratings (right, and not that piss-for-brains Elizabeth Hasselbeck... or the bastion of couth Joy Behar, who bears an odd resemblance to two puppets: Lady Adelaine from Mister Rogers and Madam from Solid Gold).

2) Lest it ever be debated, Star Jones is annoying. But you haters would be surprised to know, she is capable of remorse. She regrets the whole freebie thing. Star conceded on live television tonight, that she used her celebrity to score an obscene quantity of crap for the "celebration" of her and Al's love. And if she had to do it again, she says she would not. I mean, yeah, it was kinda tacky.

3) ABC says that network executives wanted to fire Star like yesterday, like in November. Barbara "begged" the network not to fire her then since it was so close to Christmas. (And you know what Christmas is like for poor Negroes from the South. Let Miss Sophia go home and be with her chillun for Christmas - she can stay allll day). Whoops, we digress...this appeared to be the first time Star had heard of this November firing.

4) Star claims they told her on April 21st (she repeated the date ad nauseum), that her contract wouldn't be renewed. A few days prior to the 21st, Rosie literally called Star a big fat liar in the press. At the Emmy awards, later in the week, right before they stepped on stage, Barbara told her that she hired Rosie to replace Meredith. These events occurred within one week.

5) ABC executives told Star she couldn't leave until after Meredith left.

6) Highlight of the night: Star never hid her gastric bypass. She repeatedly referred to her weight loss as a medical intervention. Larry King asked "does that mean surgery?" Star says, without missing a beat, "What else could it be? Look at me for God's sake."

It's Star:1, Barbara: 0. But then there's always tomorrow. BTW, after all this, and after Barbara Walters called herself a liar in the press, Larry King has the unmitigated gall to look at Star and say "I've known Barbara a long time...could she be lying?" Hmm.

Here's the transcript from CNN.

When Keepin' it Real Goes Wrong...

Ah...Barbara Wawa's goons are at it again...

We would have L-O-V-E-D to have posted ALL of the tasty video tidbits of the Star debacle today and yesterday (a runaway internet hit btw), but it looks as if ABCs lawyers are raising hell.

The videos, played back to back
(only Barbara's yapping for now), are an indictment of the ABC way of kicking your "patootie". Star, hate her or love her, clearly left with her dignity intact, but consequently, provides us with another "When Keepin' it Real Goes Wrong" moment.

Apparently, Star is not going to let little 'ole Babs get the last word. Making the rounds over the airwaves, Star covered both the West and the East Coasts this morning giving both Ryan Seacrest and Steve Harvey the low down...but, that's not all folks... check out Larry King Live tomorrow night (Thursday at 9 p.m. ET) as Star will, undoubtedly , put someone's behind on blast!

(thanks hon)

Shooting Star

Welcome, welcome, welcome.

No long boring details of how or why we're here. Trust us, it'll be evident over the course of the first few weeks that we've had something to say for a loooong time. Whatever.

What we want to talk about is Star Jones' "sudden departure" from The View.
We've made our jokes about Star, and we've guffawed while scrolling through the pics on www.starandal.com. However, when ABC execs decided to replace former co-host Meredith Viera with none other than Rosie (the hubby) O'Donnell, we thought they might have gone too far. Rosie had already called Star "a bitch" in the press, and referred to her weight loss and the sexual orientation of her husband publicly. So ABC hires her shortly thereafter? Odd. Then when the wags reported that Star was looking for a new gig, sweet old Babs said that Star was "welcome to stay as long as she pleased." Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Well, as always, the wags were right, and there's more to the story. It's no secret that the wonderful world of NY media is super shady, but ummm...of all the lying, thieving, conniving... These jokers didn't renew Star's contract, then told her they were hiring Rosie, and after conceding that she lied Babs wants to know why Star had to say she felt like she was "fired." Every day, we hope and pray that our less melanated counterparts (LMCs) here on earth aren't as stupid as we think they are, but this ranks up there with "they hate us for our freedom."
